Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital
ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Governor Juan F. Luis Replacement Hospital is a new eight-story, 500,000-square-foot facility that will house comprehensive clinical and support services, including emergency care, surgery, pediatrics, behavioral health, imaging, rehabilitation and women’s and children’s health. Suffolk will deliver the hospital through a carefully phased construction approach that allows the existing facility to remain operational throughout construction.
The project also includes a new Central Energy Plant, expanded parking, stormwater management and uninterrupted operation of the Virgin Islands Cardiac Center. Designed for the Virgin Islands’ climate, the hospital prioritizes resilience through durable construction and robust, redundant infrastructure capable of withstanding extreme events.
